Founder and Funeral Director, Amanda George
A Natural Undertaking
“I founded the funeral homes as a family business, built on the belief that people deserve to be cared for as individuals, especially at one of the most difficult times in their lives. For us as a family team, what we do has never been just a job, this is a natural undertaking that allows us to care for those that we lose with passion, respect, commitment and integrity, providing gentle care when it’s needed most. It’s about us being there for our families when they need us, with sensitivity, calm guidance, patience and reassurance. We understand how overwhelming loss can feel, and we take great care to make sure you never feel rushed, pressured or alone.
Being family-run means that we hold our own personal values close to our hearts whilst we care for your Loved One and you; their family. We take the time to listen, to understand what matters to you, and to help create a farewell that truly reflects the person you love, whether that is a simple and quiet farewell or more traditional in style. There is no single way to say our farewell and we respect every family’s wishes.
Our funeral homes have been created to offer warmth, a safe place, honesty and compassion; values that remain close to the heart of our family today. Struggling following the loss of my own parents, I once met a stranger on a flight heading to St Lucia – he said to me….. “Amanda if something doesn’t feed your soul, then you shouldn’t be doing it” and there it is, right there…..
The natural undertaking that myself, my son, my husband and our close family team have, feeds our soul and our commitment, our passion and our integrity for what we do and why we do it remains at the core of our business.”
